In 2007 El Políglota started as a language school. Portuguese and English were the first languages taught. French, Italian, Guaraní, German and Japanese were incorporated. Due to the growth of our student population, we found ourselves in the need to offer Spanish classes to foreigners residents in Paraguay. In 2013 we received accreditation from Instituto Cervantes to become a testing center for the Spanish Language Test DELE. In 2016 we also applied for the SIELE testing. From that moment on EL Políglota takes a new course becoming exclusively an academy that teaches languages as well as Paraguayan culture. In 2017, only ten years after its opening, El Políglota was recognized as National Interest Center and declared a Cultural Center by the Secretaria Nacional de Cultura. Currently, we are a center committed to teaching Paraguayan Culture and Panhispanic Spanish in Paraguay.
